Hardware House at Home Spring 2024 Ed. 1

Hardware House at Home Spring 2024 Ed. 1

I spend my days curating some of the most in-demand preloved & vintage luxury fashion pieces so that you all don’t have to. Hardware House at Home is simply a seasonal edit of some of the biggest trends spotted during my fashion snooping.

While I am writing about spring 2024 trends, I am still looking at snow outside. Even so, I can feel the warm weather ahead and judging by my items in cart, so can my wardrobe. We are all collectively ready to ditch puffer jackets, cozy sweaters and the uggs that we are all trying to make fashion.

The start of a new season always brings new trends. With spring accessories specifically, I think the warmer weather and longer days bring attempts at shaking off winter blues with fresh and fun accessories, often by means of colour, texture & micro-mini pieces.

With that, let’s not keep you all waiting and jump into this month’s cheat sheet of spring trends I recommend you scoop before it's too late.

  1. The Bowler Bag
  2. Louis Vuitton Speedy
  3. Fresh and Fun for Spring
  1. The Bowler Bag Style
Whether a classic take (hello, the Row Margaux) or a more current spin (we see you Alaia Le Techel Bag), the bowler bag is the newest silhouette to watch for. Following the lead of these contemporary fashion houses, any shoulder bag (Fendi Baguette) or top handle tote (hi there, vintage Bottega Veneta) can give that effortless "placing in the crook of your arm like you never even noticed that you were carrying a luxury handbag” effect that we are all trying to achieve.
  1. The Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag
Don’t ask me how or why, but the Speedy bag is back in a big way...maybe because it feels like a familiar friend of the bowler bag phenomenon. Whatever it is that’s giving it new life, fashion girls are loooving a speedy and it's a sure fire preloved purchase at the moment.
  1. Fresh and Fun for Spring

Think experimenting with a pop of colour (incoming yellow!), fun silhouettes (Alaia Le Coeur) or textures (Prada Raffia is an easy go-to for Spring/Summer, and we’ve all seen Miu Miu everywhere as of late). Spring brings the promise of longer days, fewer layers and a patio season in sight so it is all about trying something fresh and fun. And if you don’t believe me, just take a look at the street style last week at Paris Fashion Week. You could spot everything from the Chanel Cruise volkswagen micro bag to a cult fave with the Louis Vuitton coffee cup handbag. Influencers in the wild were having the most fun with their spring side pieces in Paris.

Wishing you all a clean, fresh and easygoing spring.
